About Rachel Lucie
Hi, I'm Rachel Lucie, an independent jewellery designer-maker and photographer living in Hebden Bridge in West Yorkshire.
I have always been a magpie and loved silver jewellery and shiny things. I discovered a passion for designing and making jewellery for myself in 2008, whilst staying at home to raise my young children. I found such passion for working with semi-precious stone beads and silver that I decided to develop my own handmade jewellery business from scratch. I have been selling my own designs in galleries and online ever since.
My inspiration comes from a lifelong intense love of the natural world and being in nature as well as childhood memories of spending happy hours at my Grandma's house. I often played with her precious inlaid Indian sandalwood and ivory box that was filled with antique broken jewellery oddments and semi-precious beads of all kinds. I found these treasures endlessly evocative and romantic, and would make up endless stories about who wore them to which event, and this has always stayed with me.
Life here in the Pennines means a daily walk with my Labrador into the woods and fields after my children have gone to school. This keeps me connected with nature and the seasons, such a wonderful source of inspiration. It's followed by a strong coffee, and then upstairs to my home studio.
I am a member of the Association of Contemporary Jewellers
Unique British Design
Our high streets all look the same nowadays, and it is increasingly hard to find something a little bit different. However, many people are seeking out the quirky unique qualities that independent British brands have to offer.
My unique jewellery designs are all handmade by me using mainly sterling silver, semi-precious stones and freshwater pearls (and also rolled gold and brass). Rachel Lucie Jewellery is romantic, wearable and precious with a distinctive contemporary style. It is ideal for people who love quality gemstones and precious metals who want to own something individual which they can wear to express who they are and treasure for years to come.
My Art House products have been developed with a select range of British and European manufacturers, where they are made or finished by hand.
I also provide wholesale jewellery collections for selected stockists, so please get in touch if you are interested in becoming a stockist yourself.
The Perfect Gift
With romantic pearls and semi-precious stones, lots of people choose my handmade jewellery for special birthdays, weddings and engagements or anniversaries.
I also off a limited range of cards and notebooks with some of my flower photography which make great gifts for nature lovers, the green-fingered, or anyone who wants to bring nature into their home.
All jewellery arrives beautifully gift-wrapped, making it perfectly ready to give to a loved one, or to keep for yourself, of course.
I offer free delivery on UK orders over £50. Please check my terms and conditions for more details.
