It's that time of year again, when we hope for a decent summer so we can go off on our jollies in lovely weather.
With this in mind, please be aware that I will not be making or shipping orders from 24th July to 8th August.
You are welcome to browse and order as normal, as long as you are fine with the wait.
We all start feeling the pressure on the lead up to Christmas ~ will our order arrive in time? This is obviously a concern for special items that maybe have been handmade to order. To make things a little easier, and quicker, I have made a collection full of jewellery I have in stock and ready to send out within a day of you placing your order.
Please check my last posting dates, also, particularly if you are ordering from overseas as the last posting dates are drawing near.
Take a careful look at my last posting dates for this Christmas, due to the hand made or made to order nature of my products, please note that these times may be earlier than those published by Royal Mail.
My last order date for Christmas jewellery orders is Wednesday 17th December, to allow time to clear orders during this busy period and ensure your orders reach you in time.

Christmas Shut Down
Orders placed between 20th December and 14th January will be made in the week commencing 14th january. Please continue to order as normal during this time, if you don't mind a little wait. I know some of you like to shop with your Christmas money!
I will clear through orders in chronological order, and aim to clear them within a few days, but will contact you if I expect this to be different.
I've added an events page so that you can find out where I'll be for the next few months.
You can see my work right now and all the way until the 10th January at the gorgeous Platform Gallery, Clitheroe, and I am really pleased to be in some more great exhibitions in the New Year.
The only Christmas event that I'll be at in person this year will be the Country Living Fair in Harrogate. It's just 3 weeks away, and I'm giving away 5 pairs of free tickets - you can find out more on the blog.
Despite my denials, the seasons are turning, and the end of Summer is upon us. I'm busy getting things in order for new designs for the Autumn/Winter season, and have started added a few items already.
Here is a new and rather sweet little design called Truelove. Just a pair of tiny silver hearts on simple hooks which I think might be perfect for younger bridesmaids, or girls who are getting their first 'dangly' earrings. Also great for any lovers of smaller earrings as I often tend to make my designs longer or bigger. I'm thinking pairs of these will end up in quite a few stockings, this Christmas!
There are more designs on the way, of course!
New on rachellucie.co.uk this week is the Goddess pearl necklace and earrings. I have taken a simple design based around some beautiful large ivory freshwater pearls and given you a choice of four different semi-precious gems that you can combine them with.
You can choose from rich raspberry red garnet, royal blue lapis lazuli, beautiful cornflower blue tanzanite or subtle lemon quartz.
I think they will make ideal bride or bridesmaid's jewellery, but are classic enough to wear for any occasion.
I hope you are enjoying the new-look website. Please do get in touch if you experience any difficulties or have any feedback.
I'm busy setting up a new look for my shop, and whilst the shop is still open, you might find a little loss of functionality around the site as I sort things and streamline over the next few days. It's very much 'business as usual', though! If you do experience any difficulties at all, or can't find what you expected, please do just get in touch using the contact form, and I'll get back to you as quickly as possible.
I now have some shiny new features like being able to display multiple currencies, and I have been busy rewriting my terms and conditions, to include everything from other information pages, so now it's all in one place.
I hope you like the new look, as much as I do!
It's time to clear the decks and make way for some new designs which are being added soon, so take a look around my sale section. Being added soon will be samples and discontinued designs, all at lower than normal prices.
The famous Tour De France is making it's way to Yorkshire, this year, and by 'eck we are all excited about it, as it will be passing through Hebden Bridge on the way up Cragg Road (the longest hill climb in Britain)!
Inspired by this, a group of talented Hebden Bridge creatives, local businesses and an amazing photographer came together to bring a bit of glamour to the proceedings with a styled photo shoot influenced by the 1949 film 'A Boy, A Girl and a Bike'. Starring the epitemy of glamorous British actresses of the day, Diana Dorrs and Honour Blackman, the story was set in Yorkshire, and was about a the classic love triangle story, set against a backdrop of fabulous local landscape with a local cycling club.
There are many beautiful photos from the day, which was what turned out to be a glorious sunny early March day (we were very lucky!).

Mother's Day is coming up really soon, so what a perfect time to buy something special for your mum to let her know just how special she is? I am often asked to make unique versions of my designs for special occasions (or just because) and there is still just time for me to make something to suit your mum.
This is an example of a bepoke version of my Arran jewellery.
This particular version has muscovite, aquamarine, prehnite and pink opal. I think it's a great combination for spring.
What would you like me to make for your mum?
My first news update of the year, having had a very quiet January to take stock. Orders have still been flooding in, though, and I'd like to thank you all for your patience during my slower January time this year.
I have more designs coming, and will be adding them as and when they are ready. Keep popping by or sign up to my newsletter if you haven't already.
I know the weather has been terrible for many of you, so I thought I'd share some hopeful snowdrops to try and cheer you up. These have been a very welcome sight the last few weeks.
See you soon!
What a wonderful year it's been!
I have my wonderful customers to thank. Many of you I have made jewellery for again and again, some of you have given me the most heart-warming feedback, and I got to meet some of you in person at the Country Living show. It really makes it all worth while.
I'm off to spend Christmas with my family, and will not be making jewellery from 20th December til 6th January. The shop is still open, so please do look around and buy if you see something you like, just be aware that orders will be made and dispatched during the week of 6th - 10th January. For the rest of January I will have a 2 week dispatch time so that I can take time to sort things out and plan my year.
Have Merry Christmas and a wonderful 2014, I'll see you soon!
