Hello and Happy New Year! 

I hope like me that you've had a lovely Christmas break. Whilst not 'at work' various parcels of the beads I have been ordering have been arriving, and I'm working on some new designs which should be ready for Spring (do you think Spring will ever arrive? It's so hard to tell at this time of year).

I'm working through all the lovely orders that came in whilst I was on my holiday, and they will be with you be the end of this week.

For anyone who bought from me during December, take a look on the back of the postcard which was in your parcel - it has a secret voucher code for 15% off ANY purchases totally £30 or over, for the whole of January! I'm pleased to see that some of you have already spotted it and taken advantage!

As I finish off the last Christmas orders to post tomorrow, I just wanted to thank all my amazing customers for making this the most fantastic and busiest year for Rachel Lucie Jewellery yet!

Missed the last posting date for overseas? Many parcels do still get through in time for Christmas, although there is no guarantee, of course.

Another option is to order a gift certificate – I offer them here on my website, and I can email one to your recipient directly, leaving them to spend it at their leisure, and ensuring it WILL reach them in time. Phew, what a relief!

My last ordering date this Christmas will be Wednesday 19th December, with all orders posted by Thursday 20th December. 

I will be taking a break over Christmas, with the next posting date will be Monday 7th January 2013. 

Please continue to order as normal during this time, but be aware that no items are being made or dispatched between 21st December - 7th January.

As I prepare for the Country Living Fair in Harrogate at the end of this week, there will be a longer dispatch time for the next 7 days. Please go ahead and continue to place your orders as normal this week, and I will make and dispatch them the week commencing Monday 3rd December.

Preparations are underway for my Christmas retail event at the Country Living Fair in Harrogate this winter.

I'm back from my holidays after a lovely break with my family in France. You can read more about my travels over on my blog, in the meantime it's all go as I get my new Autumn / Winter designs made up and start gearing up for Christmas (sorry to use that word already!) and my event at Country Living in Harrogate. 

I'll share with you a couple of my holiday favourite holiday snaps, you can see there was plenty of inspiration for me on my journey.

It's time to spend a little time with my young family, so Rachel Lucie Jewellery Designs will not be shipping any new orders until 5th September 2012.

Please continue to have a browse and place your orders as normal, but be aware that you will need to wait much longer than normal for your goodies. I will still be checking my email every few days, and I am sure there will be the odd tweet, too.

All current orders will be sent out tomorrow.

As well as taking some time out to recharge my batteries, I will be starting new designs for Autumn Winter 2012 and will soon be launching a new gift certificate system.

But as they say, all good things come to those who wait!

My apologies, but there is an unavoidable delay on all my orders this week as we have had more floods here in Hebden Bridge. This time a river of flood water came racing down the hill behind my house, washing away my garden and filling up my yard, nearly up to the back door. We have narrowly escaped flooding, luckily! On Friday and Monday my children have been evacuated from school due to rising water levels, and with uncertainty about flooding at our Post Office again (after the last flood) I have been reluctant to post since Friday.

You probably saw the news last weekend about the terrible flooding all along the Calder Valley, where I live and work. Todmorden, Hebden Bridge and Mytholmroyd were all affected. Many shops and businesses in the towns were devastated by the highest recorded flood water.

It's that time of year, and I'm having a spring clean! So to make way for my new designs which were launched at the British Craft Trade Fair last week, I'm having a little sale of jewellery that is either end of line, sample stock or a poor orphan (where I just don't have matching beads to make the matching earrings or necklace anymore).
